2/24 COY NCC was started in 1947 at Karnatak Arts College Dharwad under Major. S.P. Walwekar. We have had 23 ANO'S from 1947 to till today. They have given Nobel contribution to our COY. All 23 ANO’s were commissioned officers

Every year we enroll fresh cadets. The selection process starts with large number of candidates where they go through difficult selection process. We select 160 cadets including 50 girls 110 boys Cadets. Every year our company participates in Karnatak Rajyostava on 1^st November. We pay out honour to our flag at R. N. Shetty Stadium with contingent of 30 Cadets commanded by a senior cadet. We also celebrate the Independence day on 15^th August and the Republic Day on 26^thJan. We give guard of honor to the national flag in KCD and KUD. Every year our cadets attend several camps like ATC, CATC , ALC, BLC, IGC, RDC, TRAKKING, NIC, SSB, ARMY ATTACH CAMP, and TSC. We have conducted many rallies like Beti Bachao, Anti-Drug, Swaccha Bharat Abiyanand We also celebrated Environment day by planting sapling. We celebrate Gandhi Jayanti and Yoga Day and Azadi 70^th with Several Activities.
